HP Unveils DesignJet T1600 and T2600 Plus Editions with Advanced Workflow Automation

HP has expanded its wide-format printing portfolio with the introduction of the HP DesignJet T1600 Plus Edition and HP DesignJet T2600 MFP Plus Edition, designed specifically to meet the evolving needs of architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals.

The latest additions reinforce HP’s commitment to the technical printing segment, a market recognized for its consistent demand and high-value applications. As AEC projects continue to rely on large-format blueprints, drawings, and site plans, the new DesignJet Plus series aims to improve productivity, collaboration, and security across print environments.

A key feature of the new lineup is its integration with HP Build Workspace, enabling users to connect physical drawings directly to cloud-based workflows. The capability allows teams to scan, share, manage, and collaborate on project documents through a unified platform, while QR-based version control helps synchronize printed plans with digital files.

According to HP, the printers are designed to support modern hybrid work environments by seamlessly connecting print production with the digital tools used across offices and construction sites.

The new DesignJet models also feature enhanced HP Click software and HP Click Driver capabilities, making PDF printing more efficient through file previews, error detection, and simplified print management. Both devices can produce up to 180 D-size prints per hour and include automated print stacking for up to 100 pages. Select configurations offer dual-roll functionality, while Adobe PDF Print Engine technology ensures accurate reproduction of complex technical documents.

To address growing cybersecurity concerns within IT-managed workplaces, HP has integrated HP Wolf Pro Security into the new printers. The solution includes secure user authentication, firmware validation, secure boot functionality, and advanced encryption features designed to protect sensitive project information.

HP plans to showcase the DesignJet T1600 Plus Edition and T2600 MFP Plus Edition at the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026, taking place in Barcelona from June 28 to July 2.
