Arihant Printers Commissions Komori GL40 Advance at New Packaging Facility
Kolkata-based Arihant Printers, known for its high-quality output and forward-thinking investments, has added a new feather to its cap with the installation of a 7-color Komori Lithrone GL40 Advance press.

Outfitted with both UV and IR curing systems, the new machine is now up and running at the company’s newly opened 100,000 sqft packaging unit—making it the first of its kind in Eastern India.

Arihant has long been a trailblazer in the region’s printing industry. Back in 2015, it introduced East India’s first 6-color Komori UV press with coater. Speaking on their continued growth, Director Sunny Jain shared, “Our journey began in 1980 under my late father, Shri Dilip Kumar Jain. Arihant Printers came into being in 2006, focusing heavily on both commercial and packaging segments.”

Now managed by Sunny and his brother Sandeep Jain, the company has significantly scaled its operations. “We recently set up a new packaging-focused facility, adding 1 lakh sqft to our infrastructure, which complements our existing 2 lakh sqft plant,” Sunny added. “The Lithrone GL40 Advance is a critical part of this expansion.”

Jain emphasized the long-standing relationship with Komori. “We’ve relied on Komori right from the start. Their consistent support over the years made our decision to invest in another brand-new Komori press an easy one. Since Komori India became a subsidiary of Komori Corporation in Tokyo, their service and technical support have improved substantially. Their engineers are skilled and dependable—we’ve always had a smooth experience.”

Early results from the new press are already promising. Client feedback on sample prints has been overwhelmingly positive, and the company reports that its production output has nearly doubled since starting full operations. “We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and plan to further expand with additional presses like the GL40,” Jain noted.

Currently, Arihant’s team of over 120 printing and production professionals benefits from continued investments in technology. The company has recently upgraded its pre-press and finishing departments with advanced systems such as Kodak’s CtP, Maxima’s die-cutter, and other automated finishing equipment.
