Sun Xerox, originally established as a reprographic center, has significantly expanded its scope over the years.
What began as a service primarily focused on photocopying and document preservation has now evolved into a dynamic print business equipped with modern infrastructure and cutting-edge machinery.
The company’s latest upgrade comes in the form of the RICOH Pro C7500 digital press with a 5th color station, now up and running at their Ahmedabad production facility. The advanced press was installed by Monotech Systems Limited, a renowned name in the Indian print and packaging industry known for its end-to-end equipment solutions and global reputation.
“We’ve only been using the RICOH Pro C7500 for a short time, but the results are already impressive,” said Mr. Bhaskar Mudaliyar, who oversees production at Sun Xerox. “From performance to print quality and media handling, it delivers outstanding value.”
Founded in 2017 by Mr. Panneerselvam Mudaliyar, Sun Xerox now offers a wide array of services, including commercial printing, thermal lamination, plotter cutting, and high-resolution laser color printing. With the new RICOH Pro C7500 added to their arsenal, the company aims to raise the bar even higher.
Mr. Bhaskar notes that the new press brings fresh momentum to their operations. “It’s helping us go beyond traditional limits in terms of print quality, special colors, and media versatility,” he said. The machine is capable of speeds up to 95 pages per minute, supports media weights ranging from 40gsm to 470gsm, and delivers images at a superior resolution of 2400×4800 dpi.
The press is supported by EFI® Fiery® Digital Print Servers, which enhance workflow efficiency and output precision. The integrated Fiery® Command WorkStation® ensures seamless job control and color consistency, ideal for handling personalized print jobs and high-speed data processing.
A key feature that sets the RICOH Pro C7500 apart is its 5th Color Station, which supports seven toner options, enabling a broad 11-color gamut. “This is a major advancement for us,” Mr. Bhaskar shared. “We’ve started using white toner to produce standout graphic textures and effects that weren’t possible before.”
Sun Xerox is optimistic about what lies ahead with their new digital press. Mr. Bhaskar expressed gratitude for the continued support from Monotech Systems, adding, “Their team ensured we were well-trained and comfortable with the machine. The after-sales service has been excellent and reliable.”
