Canon unveils its Americas production print strategy and introduces a new leadership team to drive growth and innovation in the region’s print market.
Canon U.S.A., Inc. has introduced an expanded Americas-wide strategy for its production print business, aiming to support the growing adoption of digital printing technologies across commercial, industrial, and packaging segments.
As part of this initiative, Canon has established a new Canon Americas Production Print leadership structure designed to align strategy, investment, and customer support across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The move is intended to improve coordination across the company’s production print portfolio while helping customers expand their digital printing capabilities.
The leadership team will be headed by Peter Kowalczuk, executive vice president and president of the Client Services Group at Canon U.S.A. He will work alongside Rob Reddy, senior vice president of Production Print Solutions Sales; Dan Verley, senior vice president of Large Format Sales; and Katsuhiro Jerry Matsufuji, vice president of Sales Planning, Strategy, and Business Development.
Through this strengthened structure, Canon plans to help print service providers enhance their digital production capabilities in areas such as commercial printing, direct mail, book manufacturing, wide-format graphics, and label and packaging applications.
The strategy also highlights Canon’s latest generation of production inkjet technologies, including the varioPRESS iV7, varioPRINT iX1700, Colorado XL Series, and the LabelStream LS2000 digital label press. These platforms are designed to support the increasing demand for short-run production, personalised printing, versioned content, and automated workflows.
Canon noted that high-volume inkjet printing continues to gain traction as printers invest in digital technologies to improve flexibility and efficiency. The company was recently recognised as a Leader in high-volume inkjet in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide High-Speed Inkjet Vendor Assessment.
In addition to equipment development, Canon is also expanding its service and training infrastructure. A new technical training centre has been established in Boca Raton, Florida, aimed at strengthening service support capabilities for production print systems across the Americas.
Canon will also continue engaging with the print community through major industry events such as PRINTING United Expo, Inkjet Summit, and Loupe America, reinforcing its focus on collaboration and innovation in the evolving digital print landscape.
