Pubblicità & Stampa expands sustainable print portfolio with Kavalan PVC-free materials
Italian print company strengthens its wide-format business and sustainability efforts by adopting Kavalan’s PVC-free banner solutions.

Italian print service provider Pubblicità & Stampa has expanded its wide-format printing business by adding Kavalan’s PVC-free banner materials to its product portfolio, supporting both business growth and its long-term sustainability strategy.

Founded in 1979 and based in Modugno, Italy, the company operates from a 3,000 sq m facility with a team of 21, producing commercial print, point-of-sale materials, retail graphics, signage, and other wide-format applications.

The company entered a new growth phase in 2020 with investments in high-performance printing equipment, enabling it to expand its customer base beyond southern Italy into major markets including Rome and Milan.

To strengthen its environmental initiatives, Pubblicità & Stampa adopted Kavalan Sunlight TAICHI and Sunlight Weldable PVC-free banner materials in 2024 through distributor Polyedra. The move complements the company’s existing sustainability practices, which include the use of FSC-certified papers, UL GREENGUARD GOLD-certified UV inks, and solar-powered production.

According to CEO and Digital Printing Manager Beppe De Bartolo, customer demand for environmentally responsible signage materials continues to grow. He noted that Kavalan’s PVC-free materials offer versatility across different applications, including black-back display graphics, while delivering reliable performance and improved colour consistency.

De Bartolo also highlighted that, in several applications, the PVC-free materials perform better than conventional PVC, particularly on large metal and wooden surfaces where they respond more effectively to temperature changes.

Nova Abbott, Head of Marketing at Kavalan, said the partnership demonstrates the growing adoption of sustainable print materials across the Italian market and reflects the industry’s ongoing shift towards environmentally responsible alternatives.
