Quantum Flex Pack purchases Fujifilm’s J Press FP790 to expand digital flexible packaging production with high-quality water-based inkjet printing
FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Business Innovation Division, today announced the first U.S. purchase of its FUJIFILM J Press™ FP790 Digital Flexible Packaging Press by Quantum Flex Pack, LLC, based in Rockford, Illinois. This sale represents the sixth J Press™ FP790 sale globally since the product’s launch.

Fujifilm’s installation of the J Press™ FP790 at Quantum’s plant began earlier this month.

- Water-based inks with 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi resolution for sharp, high-quality images
- An integrated inspection tower for real-time quality control
- Reductions in lead times, thanks to the elimination of setup requirements
- Produces ultra-high quality and wider gamut print quality, making it possible to convert or work in collaboration with analog flexo and rotogravure jobs to digital
- Fits easily into existing flexible packaging production processes
