Roland DG launches EUV-H UV hard ink for industrial printing applications
New industrial-grade UV ink offers enhanced durability, chemical resistance and broad substrate compatibility for high-value decoration and functional printing.

Hamamatsu, Japan: Roland DG has introduced EUV-H, a new industrial-grade UV hard ink developed to deliver enhanced durability, chemical resistance and weather resistance for industrial and commercial printing applications. The new ink is designed to support businesses producing customised, short-run products while expanding opportunities in high-value decoration and functional printing.

Developed for demanding production environments, EUV-H offers improved scratch, solvent and abrasion resistance, enabling printed graphics to maintain their quality throughout manufacturing, handling and end use. The ink is compatible with a variety of rigid substrates, including plastic, glass and metal, making it suitable for applications such as product decoration, industrial parts, consumer electronics, packaging and promotional products.

Roland DG has also introduced a newly developed primer ink that improves adhesion on difficult-to-print materials. The addition expands the range of substrates that can be reliably decorated while helping manufacturers produce durable, high-quality printed products across multiple industries.

The new ink is compatible with Roland DG’s existing MO Series UV printers and will also support the company’s upcoming industrial printing platforms, including the RC-300 cylindrical printer and IO-300 flatbed printer, providing users with a scalable solution as production requirements evolve.

In addition to durability, EUV-H has been developed with workplace safety and sustainability in mind. According to Roland DG, the ink produces reduced odour compared with conventional UV inks and does not contain nickel, substances of very high concern (SVHC), or carcinogenic, mutagenic and reproductive toxic (CMR) substances, supporting compliance with environmental and workplace safety standards.

Commenting on the launch, Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer, Global Sales and Marketing Division at Roland DG, said the new ink enables customers to expand advanced and customised production by combining durability, broad material compatibility and support for future industrial printing systems.

EUV-H UV hard ink is available globally from 30 June 2026 through Roland DG and its authorised partners.
