Andhra Pradesh-based print service provider enhances monochrome production quality and productivity through latest Canon investment.
Vijayalakshmi Gayatri Laser Color Lab & Xerox, a well-established commercial printing company based in Chilakaluripet, Andhra Pradesh, has expanded its production capabilities with the installation of two Canon ImageForce 8195 digital monochrome production presses. The investment is aimed at boosting print quality, improving productivity, and meeting the growing demand for high-volume black-and-white printing applications.
Serving a diverse customer base across commercial and business segments, the company has built its reputation on delivering a wide range of graphic printing and finishing solutions. The latest addition further strengthens its production infrastructure and reinforces its long-standing association with Canon technology.
According to proprietor T. Vasantharao, Canon equipment has played a central role in the company’s growth journey over the years. He noted that the business has consistently invested in Canon solutions across different print technologies and formats, with each new addition helping enhance operational efficiency and service capabilities.
The newly installed ImageForce 8195 presses have been selected specifically to elevate the quality and speed of monochrome printing. With these additions, the company now operates a fleet of five Canon machines, creating a versatile production environment capable of handling a broad spectrum of print requirements.
The current setup includes two ImageForce 8195 digital monochrome presses, an ImagePrograf TX-5400 large-format inkjet plotter, an imagePRESS C710 colour digital production press, and an imageRunner Advance DX 8795i production system. Together, these machines enable the company to produce everything from business cards and marketing collateral to posters and large-format graphics.
Established in 2000, Vijayalakshmi Gayatri has grown into a one-stop commercial print destination catering to both bulk and short-run printing requirements. Backed by an experienced workforce and modern production equipment, the company continues to focus on delivering high-quality output across a wide range of applications.
The Canon ImageForce 8195 offers production speeds of up to 95 pages per minute and supports media weights up to 300 gsm. Equipped with advanced VCSEL laser technology, the press delivers output at a resolution of 2,400 x 2,400 dpi, ensuring sharp image reproduction and crisp text quality. The system also supports long-sheet banner printing and features high-speed single-pass scanning with intelligent double-feed detection for improved workflow efficiency.
Designed for demanding production environments, the press includes large-capacity paper handling options capable of supporting uninterrupted high-volume printing operations with paper capacities reaching up to 9,360 sheets.
Reflecting on the company’s long relationship with Canon, Vasantharao revealed that nearly 300 Canon machines have been used by the business since its inception, many of them previously owned systems. Today, however, the company operates an entirely new fleet sourced directly from Canon India.
Looking ahead, Vijayalakshmi Gayatri plans to continue investing in advanced printing technologies to support future growth and expand service offerings. The business is jointly managed by Vasantharao and his brothers, Ramakrishna and Nagaraju, who remain committed to strengthening the company’s position in the regional print market through continuous technology upgrades and customer-focused innovation.
