Vinsak, a renowned provider of solutions for the printing and packaging sectors, has successfully installed the first-ever Lombardi Smartline press in India at Print Panache, a label manufacturer based in Kundli.
This newly introduced model expands Vinsak’s lineup and is designed as an entry-level press to cater to the changing demands of label converters, following the successful rollout of the Lombardi I2.
Built upon the established Lombardi Synchroline framework, the Smartline press is engineered to deliver precise production of pressure-sensitive labels on both paper and film substrates. It can handle a web width of up to 450 mm and offers a print width of 430 mm.
With more than 30 years of industry experience and a client base of over 1,200 across the country, Print Panache manufactures around one million labels and 500,000 cartons daily. The company specializes in producing high-end self-adhesive and pressure-sensitive labels, as well as top-quality cartons for a variety of industries including food and drink, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and automotive.
“This is our third Lombardi machine installed with Vinsak, and each investment has deepened our trust in their technology and service,” said Anuj Kumar Gupta, one of the partners at Print Panache. Partners Shaswat and Raghav Bansal added, “The Smartline press will significantly strengthen our production efficiency and help us uphold the premium quality we’re known for.”
Smartline: A Strategic Upgrade
The Smartline is equipped with servo-driven systems that ensure precise web tension management, making it ideal for high-quality label manufacturing with minimal operational interruption. The machine includes a servo-controlled unwinder and infeed, eight UV flexographic print stations, a die-cutting unit, and an outfeed/rewinder section.
Its modular rail-based architecture enables flexible setup options, allowing Print Panache to customize production according to specific customer requirements. Additional features such as delam/relam units, air-assisted turn bars, and cold foil modules enhance the press’s finishing capabilities. Its mechatronic design reduces reliance on mechanical transmission parts like gears and belts, which leads to lower maintenance needs and improved equipment uptime.
“India continues to be a priority market for us, and Print Panache plays a major role in pushing us to innovate further,” said Massimo Lombardi, general manager of Lombardi Converting Machinery, Italy.
Vinsak operates across India, Africa, and the Middle East, offering tailored solutions in printing and packaging that are well-integrated and supported, helping clients achieve strong returns on investment.
