New eight-page thermal CtP system succeeds the PlateRite 8600M series with enhanced plate size support and long-term reliability for commercial, publishing and packaging printers.
SCREEN introduces PlateRite 8600MIII thermal CtP system for Asian offset printing market
SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd. (SCREEN GA) has expanded its computer-to-plate (CtP) portfolio with the introduction of the PlateRite 8600MIII, a new thermal CtP system designed for eight A4-size page plates. Launched in April 2026, the new model is aimed at printers across China, Southeast Asia, India and other neighboring Asian markets.
The PlateRite 8600MIII succeeds the widely adopted PlateRite 8600M and PlateRite 8600MII systems, which have earned a strong reputation for dependable performance and user-friendly operation. Building on that legacy, SCREEN has redesigned the latest model to ensure long-term product availability while incorporating features that address evolving market requirements.
According to SCREEN, demand for offset printing remains robust across Asia, particularly in the packaging, commercial printing and publishing sectors. This sustained demand has also supported continued investment in CtP technology, prompting the company to develop an upgraded solution tailored to regional needs.
Among the key enhancements is support for a larger maximum plate size, enabling greater production flexibility for print service providers. The system has also been optimized to deliver the reliability and ease of operation that have made previous PlateRite models popular throughout the region.
With the addition of the PlateRite 8600MIII to its product lineup, SCREEN aims to strengthen its position in the Asian CtP market and continue supporting printers with reliable prepress solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
The PlateRite 8600MIII is available in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.
