Mauveworx invests in two Agfa Tauro hybrid presses to expand digital production
The UK print service provider becomes the first to install the Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS in the country, strengthening its large-format digital printing capacity and sustainability initiatives.

UK-based retail marketing and print solutions provider Mauveworx has invested in two Agfa Jeti Tauro hybrid inkjet presses, including the first Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS to be installed in the UK, as part of its strategy to increase production capacity and support future growth.

The investment includes the Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 HS and the Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS, both scheduled for installation in August and September 2026 at Mauveworx’s 105,000 sq ft production facility in Ferndown, Dorset.

The move marks a significant step in the company’s transition to a fully digital production environment. Having phased out traditional lithographic and screen-printing processes, Mauveworx now operates as a 100% digital print business, enabling it to meet growing demand for shorter print runs, faster turnaround times and greater production flexibility.

The company said the new hybrid presses were selected following an extensive evaluation process involving production trials and technology assessments across Europe. The investment is expected to increase productivity through advanced automation, faster production speeds and reduced setup times, making the systems well suited for high-mix, short-run production.

The hybrid configuration will also enable Mauveworx to produce both rigid and roll-fed applications on a single platform, expanding its capabilities in retail graphics, banners, posters, tension fabric graphics and large-format display solutions. White ink capability further broadens the range of applications while reducing reliance on traditional screen-printing processes.

Alongside increased production capacity, the investment supports the company’s sustainability objectives. The digital printing systems are expected to reduce material waste, energy consumption and overall production costs compared with conventional print processes, complementing Mauveworx’s use of renewable energy at its production facility.

Following installation, Agfa will provide on-site operator training to help maximise the performance and productivity of both presses. The investment is expected to strengthen Mauveworx’s position in the UK large-format print market while supporting its long-term growth strategy.
