Kridwinn Innovations Partners with Hongda Digital to Expand Industrial Inkjet Printing in India
Exclusive partnership brings Hongda Digital’s roll-to-sheet inkjet presses to India, targeting book publishing, security printing and high-volume digital production.

Gurugram, India: Kridwinn Innovations has entered into an exclusive partnership with Hongda Digital Technology, a sister company of the McLantis International (Shanghai) Group, to introduce and support the company’s industrial inkjet printing solutions across the Indian market.

Under the agreement, Kridwinn Innovations will exclusively market, install, service and provide technical support for Hongda Digital’s print-on-demand Roll-to-Sheet Inkjet Presses throughout India. The partnership also covers the introduction of Hongda Digital’s existing and future product portfolio for applications including book publishing, security printing, variable data printing, newspaper production, transactional printing, and other industrial printing segments.

Speaking about the collaboration, Jimit Mittal, Managing Director of Kridwinn Innovations, said the company carried out an extensive three-month evaluation of Hongda Digital’s equipment by visiting multiple production sites across China.

“We were impressed by the print quality, which was almost indistinguishable from offset printing. The presses consistently demonstrated excellent reliability, stability and production efficiency. Combined with competitive equipment costs, economical operation and high productivity, we believe this technology is well suited to India’s expanding book publishing industry,” he said.

Chen Daidou, Director of Hongda Digital, said the company was impressed by Kridwinn’s technical expertise and understanding of India’s industrial inkjet market.

“Industrial inkjet solutions require strong after-sales support. Kridwinn’s team brings more than two decades of industry experience, making them an ideal partner for India. We look forward to building a long-term and successful relationship,” he commented.

Kridwinn will introduce the DIGIMAC CMYK Series, available in 440 mm, 660 mm and 880 mm web widths, with Roll, Sheet or Fold delivery options. The presses operate at speeds of up to 120 metres per minute and support both 1-bit binary mode for maximum productivity and 2-bit grayscale mode for enhanced image quality.

The systems use water-based pigment inks compatible with 50–150 gsm uncoated papers and are built on Epson inkjet printhead technology. The presses are also equipped with a user-friendly Digital Front End (DFE) featuring a high-speed RIP engine capable of processing PDF and other standard file formats.

According to Mittal, the first installations are already planned, with five presses scheduled for installation at customer sites across India by December 2025.

He added that India’s digital printing market is evolving rapidly, with increasing demand for production inkjet technology across industrial printing segments. As printers continue to adopt digital workflows for greater flexibility, productivity and cost efficiency, industrial inkjet presses are expected to play a larger role in future printing investments.

Established in 2024, Hongda Digital Technology focuses on industrial inkjet printing systems developed in collaboration with the 20-year-old McLantis International Group. The company specialises in roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet inkjet solutions for the publishing sector and reports more than 50 installations within its first eight months of operation.

Kridwinn Innovations, also established in 2024, combines more than 20 years of industry expertise in printing and packaging. The company provides solutions for industrial inkjet printing, variable data printing, security printing, digital labels, packaging and digital finishing technologies.
