Color-Logic Wins Gold for Best Use of Metallized Foil Substrates at FSEA Print Embellishment Conference

Color-Logic wins Gold Award at FSEA 2026 for its innovative use of metallic substrates and white ink technology in advanced print embellishment solutions.

Color-Logic FSEA Gold Award recognizes the company’s achievement at the 2026 Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) Print Embellishment Conference. The company earned the Gold Award for Best Use of Metallized Foil Substrates, highlighting its innovation in metallic print enhancement.

Based in West Chester, Ohio, Color-Logic, a global provider of software solutions for print embellishment, has announced that it has been honored with the Gold Award for Best Use of Metallized Foil Substrates at the 2026 Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) Print Embellishment Conference held in Nashville.

Speaking about the achievement, Mark Geeves, Director of Sales and Marketing at Color-Logic, highlighted that the award recognizes the company’s advanced approach to print enhancement using white ink and toner technologies on metallic substrates. He noted that the winning entry featured artwork adapted from well-known designer Greg Horn, produced using the Color-Logic Design Suite.

The software helps streamline production by eliminating the need for manual creation of white ink masking by designers or prepress teams, significantly improving efficiency in metallic print workflows. It supports printing on specialty materials such as Unilustre DI from Unifoil, enabling more consistent and efficient production results.

Geeves also emphasized that the company’s long-standing philosophy, “White is the New Gold,” continues to guide its innovation in metallic print enhancement. He added that the recognition from FSEA reflects Color-Logic’s ongoing commitment to advancing print embellishment technologies in collaboration with leading press and equipment manufacturers.

The company also acknowledged its ecosystem of partners, including Canon Large Format, Fujifilm Revoria, Konica Minolta, Ricoh 7500, HP Indigo, Mimaki UV Inkjet, and swissQprint, along with finishing technology partners such as DUPLO and SCODIX, who contribute to delivering enhanced tactile and visual effects in printed output.

The award-winning project was previously showcased as part of the Greg Horn Program at Printing United 2025. More information about the program is available on the official Color-Logic website.
