Italian converter invests in new inline flexographic press to double production capacity and strengthen its position in the flexible packaging market.
Italian packaging converter Carby Label has expanded its production capabilities with the purchase of a fourth press from Lombardi Converting Machinery, investing in the Invicta i1 670 inline flexographic press to support growing demand for flexible packaging.
The 670 mm web-width press will be installed at the company’s production facility in Casamassima, Italy, where it will primarily serve the fruit and vegetable packaging sector. The investment is expected to significantly increase manufacturing capacity while delivering enhanced print quality, production speed, and operational flexibility.
Designed for both label and flexible packaging applications, the Invicta i1 platform enables converters to broaden their product offerings while maintaining the efficiency of inline flexographic printing. The press incorporates advanced automation features, rapid job changeovers, and consistent print performance across a wide range of substrates.
The latest investment marks the fourth Lombardi press installed at Carby Label, reflecting the long-standing partnership between the two Italian companies and their shared focus on technological advancement.
According to Carby Label, the new press will help meet increasing customer demand while strengthening its capabilities in the fresh produce packaging market. Lombardi also noted that the installation supports the converter’s continued expansion into flexible packaging and reinforces its commitment to high-performance printing solutions.
