Canon Launches New imagePROGRAF TX Series with Enhanced Print Quality and Output Handling
Advanced large-format printers deliver higher precision, faster output and improved workflow efficiency for CAD and production environments.

Canon today announced the launch of five new imagePROGRAF large format printing solutions. These are designed to support high-volume printing environments across architecture, engineering, construction, design and manufacturing industries. The lineup includes two single-function printers (imagePROGRAF TX-5430/TX-5330) and three multi-function printer (MFP)1 solutions (imagePROGRAF TX-5431/TX-5331/TX-5130) that offers a comprehensive range of large format printing and scanning capabilities.

The imagePROGRAF TX-5431/TX-5430/TX-5331/TX-5330 support high-volume output with high-speed printing capabilities, and the MFP1 solutions streamline document archiving and copying through an intuitive large-screen panel. The new lineup also incorporates a newly developed matte black ink for enhanced output quality, which will greatly improve the precision in high resolution technical drawings with fine lines and small text.

Enhanced output stacking

The imagePROGRAF TX-5431/TX-5430/TX-5331/TX-5330 feature a new basket that supports the stacking of drawings, including documents measuring up to A0 size and maintaining the print order2. The basket enables easy retrieval of printed drawings, reducing manual sorting or alignment while improving workflow efficiency.

Productive printing made simple

Designed for high productivity printing, the imagePROGRAF TX-5431/TX-5430/TX-5331/TX-5330 deliver high print speeds of up to 3.3 sheets per minute3, handling high-volume print jobs efficiently. The Smart Roll Paper Set function automatically detects supported paper type and estimates the remaining roll length. Automatic roll feeding also takes place when paper is placed in the main feed tray, streamlining the roll paper setup process. The dual roll feed mechanism4 supports continuous printing by using two rolls of the same media or switching between different roll sizes and media types.

Efficient scanning workflow

The MFP1 models (imagePROGRAF TX-5431/TX-5331/TX-5130) are equipped with a large 15.6-inch touchscreen panel that enables intuitive scanning and copying operations. Users can preview scanned images and adjust items, such as skew correction, directly on the screen. In addition to high-speed scanning, the scanner operates independently of the printer, allowing for simultaneous scanning and printing. Documents can be scanned while a copy or print job is in progress, improving operational efficiency.
