INX International and Koenig & Bauer Form Global Alliance
INX International Ink Co. has teamed up with Koenig & Bauer in a global partnership aimed at delivering optimized LED-UV, HR-UV, and UV printing solutions for commercial printers and packaging converters around the world.
The alliance brings together Koenig & Bauer’s sheetfed offset press engineering and INX’s energy-curable ink portfolio to create a unified printing ecosystem built for maximum productivity — from initial startup through full-scale production. A key focus of the collaboration is helping printers cut energy use through advanced LED-UV curing technology while advancing broader sustainability goals.
Bryce Kristo, President and CEO of INX International, noted that modern printers are under growing pressure to boost productivity, cut waste, and operate more responsibly. He described the partnership as delivering integrated solutions that help customers achieve real operational gains alongside long-term business and sustainability objectives.
Dirk Winkler, Head of Process and Printing Technology at Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed, emphasized that customers today don’t need standalone products — they need a connected ecosystem that spans the pressroom to the finished package. Testing on Koenig & Bauer’s Rapida press platforms confirmed that INX ink systems can reduce makeready times, improve color stability, minimize waste, and maintain consistent print quality. The partnership also extends into sustainable printing research, including food packaging safety and Cradle-to-Cradle aligned development. Customers gain access to joint training, workshops, live demonstrations, and technical support through Koenig & Bauer’s global network of demo and training centers.
