Brady Introduces BradyPrinter i4311, a Portable Wide-Format Industrial Label Printer
New battery-powered printer combines desktop-class performance with cordless mobility, enabling on-site printing of industrial labels up to 101.6 mm wide.

Brady Corporation has expanded its industrial identification portfolio with the launch of the BradyPrinter i4311, a battery-powered label printer designed to deliver desktop-level performance in a portable form factor. The new system is engineered to meet the growing demand for on-site industrial label production while maintaining the print quality and reliability expected from benchtop printers.

A key highlight of the BradyPrinter i4311 is its ability to print labels up to 101.6 mm (4 inches) wide, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial applications. The printer supports the production of work-in-progress tags, asset labels, cable wraps, sleeves, component labels, rating plates, and GHS-compliant chemical labels, extending its usability across manufacturing, electrical, laboratory, and maintenance environments.

Designed for mobility, the printer is powered by a rechargeable battery capable of producing up to 5,000 labels on a single charge. The battery can be replaced quickly in the field and recharged in approximately 3.5 hours, enabling continuous operation with minimal downtime.

The BradyPrinter i4311 offers multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and USB-C, allowing users to print directly from smartphones, tablets, laptops, or integrated enterprise systems. Compatibility with Brady’s software development kit (SDK) and ZPL further simplifies integration into existing workflows.

A built-in 7-inch touchscreen enables users to create and print labels directly from the device without requiring a connected computer. The printer can also store approximately 85,000 label templates, allowing operators to quickly access frequently used designs and complete them using on-device fill-in fields.

Brady has incorporated several customer-driven enhancements into the printer’s design. Measuring 23 × 23 × 23 cm and weighing 5.9 kg, the compact unit features an ergonomically designed carry handle, simplified battery replacement, and an energy-saving mode that extends battery life when the printer is idle.

The printer is compatible with more than 1,300 Brady label materials and incorporates LabelSense™ technology, which automatically detects installed media and configures the appropriate print settings, including material type, size, and burn temperature, helping reduce setup time and improve print consistency.

The BradyPrinter i4311 also supports Brady’s suite of Express Labels mobile applications, enabling users to import text from images, print barcode data captured with smartphones, and create labels using voice commands through BradyVoice.

With the launch of the BradyPrinter i4311, Brady is addressing the increasing need for flexible, high-performance industrial label printing that can move beyond fixed workstations. By combining portability, wide-format capability, and intelligent connectivity, the new printer offers manufacturers and industrial users greater efficiency and convenience for label production wherever it is needed.
