New large-format system combines print-and-cut capability in a single latex platform to expand applications and improve workflow efficiency
Roland DG has introduced the TrueVis AG-640, a new large-format latex printer/cutter designed to streamline production and expand application capabilities for print service providers.
Positioned as the industry’s first integrated latex print-and-cut solution, the TrueVis AG-640 enables users to produce printed and contour-cut graphics on a single device. This integration reduces production steps, improves turnaround times and eliminates the need for separate cutting equipment for short-run applications.
The AG-640 is engineered to support a wide range of applications, including decals, vehicle graphics, signage, window displays, exhibition graphics and interior décor. With improved CMYK, orange and red inks, along with high-density white ink support, the system delivers enhanced colour gamut, deeper blacks and consistent output across jobs.
The printer incorporates long-life piezo printhead technology aimed at reducing ink consumption and lowering overall operating costs. Additional features such as advanced ink control, intelligent curing and media optimisation contribute to improved print quality and reduced waste during production.
Designed to simplify workflows, the AG-640 offers integrated print-and-cut functionality for labels, stickers and short-run graphics, while maintaining compatibility with external cutters for higher-volume finishing requirements. The system is supported by Roland DG’s software ecosystem, including VersaWorks RIP and Roland DG Connect for production management and monitoring.
With this launch, Roland DG aims to expand the role of latex printing beyond traditional applications, enabling print providers to move into higher-value, value-added production while maintaining efficiency and cost control.
