New Fiery IC-321 and IC-421 bring AI-driven workflow automation and touchless colour control to commercial print production.
Fremont, CA: Fiery, LLC has announced two next-generation digital front ends (DFEs) for the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C5080 series. Powered by the Fiery FS700 Pro platform, the Fiery IC-321 and Fiery IC-421 combine AI-powered workflow automation, professional-grade performance and touchless color control to reduce manual intervention across key stages of production. The new DFEs are designed to help AccurioPress users accelerate turnaround times, scale operations and improve productivity.
Purpose-built for the AccurioPress C5080, C5070, C5065 and C5065P, the Windows-based Fiery IC-321 is designed for advanced production workflows and higher-volume environments, while the Linux-based Fiery IC-421 is optimized to deliver reliable performance for essential production requirements.
The new DFEs integrate Fiery’s AI-powered automation solutions to streamline production from job intake to finished output. Fiery JobExpert automatically analyses each print job and selects optimal color and imaging settings, reducing manual decision-making and setup time.
Optional Fiery JobFlow Pro provides AI-powered workflow automation by understanding job content, automatically applying presets, explaining preflight results in simple terms and intelligently routing files to the appropriate workflows.
Fiery also announced Fiery Scribe, an upcoming agentic AI solution that automatically reads email job requests and converts them into print-ready jobs, reducing manual processing and saving significant operator time.
For color management, the Fiery IC-321 and IC-421 leverage the Konica Minolta IQ-601 Intelligent Quality Optimizer’s inline spectrophotometer to continuously measure and adjust color output throughout production, delivering touchless color control.
Additional automation tools include Zero-touch recalibration, 1-step color management, Fiery ColorGuard for automated color verification and correction, and Fiery TrueBrand™ and Spot-On™ for accurate and repeatable brand color reproduction.
John Henze, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Fiery, said the new DFEs combine professional-grade performance, touchless color control and AI-enhanced workflow automation to unlock the full potential of the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C5080 series while reducing operator intervention and delivering consistent color quality.
Jason Dizzine, Vice President, Portfolio Management and Planning at Konica Minolta, said the new Fiery DFEs powered by the Fiery FS700 platform strengthen the company’s automation capabilities, with the IQ-601 and Fiery’s Zero-touch recalibration providing an efficient solution for maintaining precise and accurate color.
The Fiery IC-321 and Fiery IC-421 are now available worldwide through Konica Minolta dealers.
