Edale, a leading manufacturer of flexographic printing and converting machinery, announced a strategic rebranding of its label and carton product lines to align with Canon, its parent company since the 2022 acquisition.

Unveiled on September 3, 2025, the rebranding introduces new naming conventions, Edale LabelLine and Edale CartonLine, aimed at enhancing clarity and cohesion across its global portfolio. This marks the first phase of a broader product refresh, with further details expected in the coming weeks.

The rebranding categorizes machines within the LabelLine and CartonLine platforms to help customers identify solutions tailored to their specific applications, from labels to folding cartons. Lachlan Buirds, Edale’s managing director, emphasized the strategic intent, “This is more than a name change; it’s about delivering clarity, confidence, and cohesion in how we present our technology globally.”

Buirds reaffirmed Edale’s commitment to its core strengths, engineering excellence, automation expertise, and customer-focused growth, ensuring continuity amid the transformation. The rebranding extends to Edale’s operations in India, a key market for flexographic printing, where demand for labels and packaging is surging.

According to a 2025 Research and Markets report, India’s flexographic printing market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.2% through 2030, driven by packaging needs in food, beverage, and e-commerce sectors. Edale’s alignment with Canon’s global branding strengthens its position to capitalize on this growth, leveraging Canon’s extensive network and technological resources.

Edale will showcase its rebranded portfolio at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, from September 16–19, exhibiting alongside Canon Europe. A highlight will be a live demonstration of an Edale CartonLine machine, underscoring the integration’s practical impact. The event will also serve as a platform to unveil additional portfolio updates, reinforcing Edale’s innovation in flexographic solutions.

The global printing machinery market, valued at USD 21.8 billion in 2024 per Statista, is increasingly competitive, with digital and flexographic technologies vying for dominance. Edale’s rebranding aligns with Canon’s vision of unified, scalable solutions, positioning the company to meet evolving industry demands.

By harmonizing its identity with Canon’s, Edale aims to enhance customer trust and streamline its offerings, solidifying its role as a leader in label and carton production across markets, including India’s burgeoning print sector.
