Dehradun-based Arjun Printing Press has strengthened its digital production capabilities with the installation of the imagePRESS V700 supplied by Canon India. Recognized as one of the city’s long-established commercial printing houses, the company has been serving customers for nearly eight decades. Over the years, it has steadily evolved from conventional printing processes to modern digital production, consistently adapting to industry advancements and customer expectations.
The business is currently led by proprietor Amritveer Singh along with his son Ravneet Singh, who together represent the continuation of a multi-generational printing legacy. Blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary digital solutions, the duo has focused on maintaining consistent quality standards while embracing advanced production technologies. According to the management, the company has transitioned through multiple technological phases — from letterpress to offset, and now to advanced digital systems. The latest addition, the imagePRESS V700, was selected to meet the growing demand for short-run, customized, and premium-quality print jobs. The decision was based on the press’s advanced features, production flexibility, and performance reliability within its segment.
The compact digital color production system supports a broad range of substrates, including specialty and textured media. It handles standard formats such as SRA3, A3, and A4, along with covers, envelopes, and extended sheet lengths up to 1300mm. Media weights from 52gsm to 350gsm can be processed, while output resolution reaches up to 2400 x 2400 dpi, ensuring sharp and vibrant print quality.
Since its installation, the press has enabled the company to diversify its offerings and expand into oversized and creative applications, despite its relatively small footprint.
