New entry-level production presses combine intelligent automation, advanced quality control, and inline finishing to improve efficiency for commercial print operations.
Konica Minolta Unveils AccurioPress C5080 Series to Boost Production Print Automation
RAMSEY, New Jersey – June 29, 2026: Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. has introduced the AccurioPress C5080 Series, a new family of entry-level production presses designed to help commercial printers increase productivity through intelligent automation, simplified operation, and consistent print quality.
The new lineup includes the AccurioPress C5080 with speeds of up to 81 pages per minute, the AccurioPress C5070 at 71 ppm, and the AccurioPrint C5065 at 65 ppm. The series succeeds the AccurioPress C4080 range and incorporates several workflow enhancements aimed at reducing manual intervention and improving production efficiency.
One of the key features of the new platform is its intelligent media sensing technology. Using the IM-104 and IM-105 media sensors, the presses automatically detect paper characteristics and apply the appropriate print settings, minimizing setup time while ensuring consistent output across a wide range of media.
The optional IQ-601 Intelligent Quality Optimizer further enhances production by automating color calibration, registration adjustment, and print inspection. These capabilities help operators maintain consistent quality, particularly for repeat jobs and short production runs, while reducing the need for manual adjustments.
Konica Minolta has also improved front-to-back registration accuracy, automated job setup, and simplified maintenance procedures. These enhancements are intended to support print providers facing labor shortages, tighter turnaround schedules, and increasing customer expectations for high-quality output.
The AccurioPress C5080 Series supports a variety of inline finishing options, including the TU-510e finishing unit, which performs trimming, creasing, and perforating in a single workflow. This allows printers to produce finished applications such as brochures, booklets, business cards, and direct mail pieces without additional offline processing.
The new presses are compatible with multiple controller options, including the AccurioImage IC-613, Fiery IC-421, and Fiery IC-321, enabling seamless integration into existing production environments.
Commenting on the launch, Jason Dizzine, Vice President of Portfolio Management and Planning at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., said the new series is designed to make production printing more efficient and accessible by simplifying operation, reducing setup time, and helping customers improve productivity while maintaining consistent output.
With the introduction of the AccurioPress C5080 Series, Konica Minolta continues to strengthen its production printing portfolio by offering automated, high-quality print solutions that address the evolving needs of commercial printers, in-plant facilities, and franchise print providers.
