Interview with Mr. Kumar Srinivasan, Proprietor, Suve Graphics
Suve Graphics began with a vision to blend creativity and precision in printing. From a small setup, it has grown into Trichy’s trusted name, offering innovative, high-quality, and timely solutions

Print3 : Can you tell us how Suve Graphics was founded and what inspired its start?

Kumar Srinivasan : Suve Graphics was founded with a clear vision to bring creativity and precision together in the world of printing and designing. What began as a small setup driven by passion has now evolved into a trusted name in Trichy’s printing industry. My inspiration came from the desire to offer clients high quality, innovative, and timely printing solutions under one roof.

P3 : At the founding stage what were the biggest risks or challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

KS : In the early days, the biggest challenges were building client trust and keeping up with evolving printing technologies. With limited resources, every project was a learning experience. We overcame these hurdles through consistent quality, on-time delivery, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction — values that continue to define Suve Graphics today.

P3 : How did your early experiences in business influence how Suve Graphics was shaped?

KS : My early experiences in business taught me the importance of attention to detail, customer trust, and innovation. Those lessons became the foundation of Suve Graphics, guiding how we approach every project, invest in technology, and build lasting relationships with clients. They shaped not just our operations but also our vision for quality and reliability in the printing industry.

P3 : Can you list the key products and services offered by Suve Graphics?

KS : Suve Graphics offers a wide range of products and services catering to diverse printing needs. Our key offerings include high quality digital and offset printing, customized packaging solutions, promotional materials, and large format prints. We also provide design consultation, pre-press services, and end-to-end project support to ensure every client receives a seamless and premium printing experience.

P3 : What was the first product or service you launched when the company began operations?

KS : When Suve Graphics began, our first offering was high-quality offset printing services. We focused on delivering precise, reliable prints for businesses, which helped us build trust with our early clients and set the standard for the quality and service Suve Graphics is known for today.

P3 : What quality control procedures do you have for color consistency, finishing, and material handling?

KS : At Suve Graphics, maintaining the highest quality standards is our priority. For color consistency, we use calibrated color management systems and regular test prints. Our finishing processes are closely monitored with precise equipment checks to ensure clean cuts, perfect folds, and smooth laminations. For material handling, strict inventory management and careful storage practices ensure that all substrates remain in optimal condition, so every product meets our clients’ exact expectations.

P3 : What kind of machines are used for finishing tasks such as lamination, folding, or cutting?

KS : For finishing tasks, Suve Graphics relies on advanced and precise machinery. We use high-speed laminators for protective and glossy finishes, automated folding machines for consistent and accurate folds, and precision cutting equipment to ensure clean edges. This combination of technology and expertise allows us to deliver polished, professional-quality products every time.

P3 : What is the current demand for printing and packaging machinery in India across sectors and regions?

KS : The demand for printing and packaging machinery in India is growing steadily across sectors and regions. The packaging market is expanding rapidly, driven by consumer demand and sustainable solutions, while commercial printing and offset packaging are also on the rise. North India shows strong growth in paper and packaging machinery, and West and Central India dominate commercial printing. Adoption of advanced, automated technologies is further boosting efficiency and quality across the industry.

P3 : What innovations or trends in printing / packaging machinery are you most excited about (e.g. automation, digital printing, sustainability)?

KS : I’m most excited about automation, digital printing, and sustainability in printing and packaging machinery. Automation improves efficiency and consistency, digital printing enables on-demand, customized designs, and sustainable solutions—like eco-friendly inks and recyclable materials—are reducing the industry’s environmental impact.

P3 : How do you monitor market trends and customer needs — do you conduct R&D or pilot projects?

KS : At Suve Graphics, we stay ahead of market trends and customer needs through continuous R&D and pilot projects. We regularly test new materials, technologies, and processes on a small scale before full implementation, ensuring our solutions are both innovative and aligned with client expectations.

P3 : What is Suve Graphics’ core business model? Do you primarily handle contract jobs, end-to-end projects, or provide in-house production for clients?

KS : Suve Graphics’ core business model focuses on delivering end-to end printing and packaging solutions. While we do handle select contract jobs, our primary strength lies in managing complete projects —from design and pre-press to printing, finishing, and delivery— ensuring consistent quality and seamless service for our clients.

P3 : How many years of experience do you have in this industry?

KS : I have more than 25 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry, during which I have gained hands-on expertise in production, client management, and implementing innovative solutions that meet evolving market demands.

P3 : In your experience, which technologies such as CTP, thermal CTP, UV printing, and digital presses have seen adoption in India recently?

KS : Recent adoption in India includes thermal CTP systems, digital presses, and UV printing. Thermal CTP offers higher efficiency and print quality, digital presses enable short run and customized jobs, and UV printing allows vibrant, durable prints on various substrates—helping businesses meet growing demand efficiently.
