Ghaziabad-based Kailash Graphics has taken a major leap forward in its printing journey by adopting the KnowzzleJet M660, a cutting-edge digital inkjet press tailored for high-volume, short-run book production.

The press, developed and installed by Monotech Systems in partnership with JETSCI® and Pressline, marks the company’s transition from conventional offset to high-speed digital. At the helm is Vaibhav Aggarwal, a second-generation business leader building on the legacy of his late father. With a stronghold in educational and publishing print work since 2005, Kailash Graphics has evolved from a traditional setup with three offset presses to a state-of-the-art facility operating from Sonipat.

Today, it runs six offset presses—five single-colour and one double-colour—serving publishers across India. Recognising the shifting landscape of the publishing world—especially the rise in demand for faster turnarounds and shorter print runs—Vaibhav saw digital as the next logical step. The KnowzzleJet M660 offers the flexibility and responsiveness needed to meet these new expectations.

“Turnaround used to take up to a month. Now we can deliver within just two or three days,” says Vaibhav. “This is what the market demands—and we’re ready.” The press enables Kailash Graphics to handle short runs with ease, particularly for books with high pagination. The team frequently processes jobs of 200–500 copies per title, with page counts reaching 1,600. Offset was proving too rigid and time- consuming for such requirements.

With the KnowzzleJet M660, they’re now producing up to 10,000 books daily—about 8,000 softbound and 1,200 hardbound—significantly improving operational efficiency. “Earlier, a reprint of just 100–300 copies would disrupt our schedules. Now, we can print and ship the same day,” Vaibhav adds. Operating in a competitive market, with over 100 print shops and a dozen four-colour offset presses nearby, Kailash Graphics has carved a niche by embracing digital.

The KnowzzleJet M660 gives them a distinct edge—no lengthy setups, no wastage, and the ability to respond quickly to urgent publishing needs. The company has also streamlined its pricing by charging on a per-page basis, enabling predictable cost structures and consistent production. The shift has opened new possibilities in on-demand publishing, allowing the team to respond to market needs without tying up capital in excess inventory.

Post-pandemic, as the publishing industry regains momentum, Kailash Graphics has experienced a 20% year-on-year growth, with annual revenues crossing INR 50 crore. The increasing demand for smaller print runs, regional content, and educational books has fueled this upward trajectory.

“Publishers want flexibility, reduced inventory, and quick turnarounds. The KnowzzleJet delivers on all fronts,” says Vaibhav. Kailash Graphics also handles complete post-press processes in-house—from cutting and binding to final packaging—ensuring end-to-end quality control and faster delivery to clients.
