The event featured a compelling presentation by renowned expert Mr. Sushil Arora on the topic “Use of AI in Your Business.” The seminar aimed to equip printing and packaging entrepreneurs with practical knowledge to leverage AI for enhanced efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness, particularly within the printing<\/a> and allied industries.<\/p>\n

The gathering, attended industry professionals, underscored the growing integration of AI technologies amid labour shortages and escalating operational costs. Mr. Arora’s session delved into real-world applications, from automating workflows to predictive analytics, emphasizing how AI can streamline processes in sectors like printing, where precision and speed are paramount. “AI isn’t just a tool; it’s a gamechanger for businesses looking to thrive in a digital era,” Mr. Arora remarked during his address. “By adopting AI, printers can reduce waste, personalize outputs, and forecast demand with unprecedented accuracy.”<\/p>\n

Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra, a key figure in the printing community, highlighted the seminar’s relevance to Punjab’s vibrant printing sector. “This event bridges the gap between traditional practices and cutting-edge technology,” he stated. “Our members left with actionable insights to implement AI-driven solutions that can boost productivity and open new revenue streams.” Mr. Parveen Aggarwal echoed these sentiments, noting the importance of such initiatives for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in adapting to global trends.<\/p>\n

The seminar comes at a time when AI adoption is surging across industries. According to a 2025 McKinsey report, 23% of organizations have scaled agentic AI systems enterprise-wide, driving innovation and transformation. Stanford’s 2025 AI Index further reveals that 78% of organizations now use AI in at least one function, up from 55% the previous year, with global private AI investment reaching $109.1 billion in the U.S. alone.<\/p>\n

In the printing industry specifically, a PRINTING United Alliance study shows that 38.3% of commercial printers are already utilizing AI, with an additional 23.5% planning implementation within the next year. The same report indicates that 85% of respondents view AI as critical to maintaining competitiveness, while 83% see it as a source of new opportunities, particularly in areas like customer communications, estimating, prepress, and workflow automation.<\/p>\n

Participants engaged in interactive discussions on AI’s role in addressing industry challenges, such as supply chain disruptions and customization demands. Data from NAPCO Research supports this momentum, noting AI’s expansion into customer analytics (from 11.1% to 33.3% planned usage), sales (16.0% to 39.5%), and operations (14.8% to 42.0%). These statistics highlight AI’s potential to amplify productivity\u2014research from the Economic Innovation Group shows minimal job displacement so far, with AI-exposed workers experiencing lower unemployment rate increases compared to others.<\/p>\n

OPA’s seminar not only fostered knowledge-sharing but also encouraged collaborative efforts to integrate AI ethically and sustainably. As the printing sector evolves, events like this position members to capitalize on the projected $644 billion global generative AI spending in 2025, a 76.4% increase from the prior year. Looking ahead, OPA plans more such programs to support its members in navigating the AI landscape, ensuring India’s printing industry remains at the forefront of technological advancement.<\/p>\n
