Ahmedabad-based Rang Roto Pack has taken a strategic leap into the flexible packaging segment with the purchase of a Multitec S3S Sleeve flexo press. The new press, with 670-mm and nine colour configuration, is equipped with LED UV, conventional UV, and hot air-drying systems.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n

\u201cThis is our first flexo printing press,\u201d said Primal Patel, director, Rang Roto Pack. \u201cWe are already active in the packaging domain with a rotogravure setup from Pelican, but the S3S will allow us to cater to short- and mid-run flexible jobs \u2014 a rapidly growing segment where customers demand faster turnaround and lower volumes without compromising quality.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Multitec S3S will primarily be used for flexible pouches, roll forms, and direct foil printing<\/a> <\/span>applications. Patel explained that the press bridges a critical production gap between high-volume gravure jobs and emerging short-run demands.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur gravure line will continue to handle long-run work, while the S3S is ideal for shorter runs\u2014anywhere between 20- to 100-kg of print volume \u2014 giving us versatility and faster response to our customers\u2019 diverse SKUs,\u201d Patel said.<\/p>\n

Currently, Rang Roto Pack operates a single gravure press and converts around 110-mt of flexible packaging material per month, focusing primarily on zip-lock and stand-up pouches. The company has its reach pan-India, with specialised pouching and converting capabilities. With the new S3S, the company now wants to expand its market reach beyond the country to markets abroad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe flexible packaging market is evolving fast,\u201d Patel added. \u201cWith SKUs increasing and average run lengths coming down, a short-run capable press like the S3S gives us an operational edge. It allows us to provide both gravure and flexo printing solutions under one roof \u2014 something our customers truly value.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Multitec S3S is expected to be installed and operational by the end of November 2025, marking another success story for Multitec as it strengthens its foothold in the growing flexible packaging segment.<\/p>\n
