So when it came time to evolve their digital printing<\/a> <\/span>footprint,\u00a0Repacorp\u00a0was looking for more than just another piece of equipment. \u201cWe\u2019ve worked with hybrid presses before, but they\u2019ve always involved multiple vendors. Getting everything to talk to each other was a constant challenge,\u201d added\u00a0Andy Heinl, Vice President of Digital <\/em>Labels. \u201cWhat made BOBST different was that it\u2019s all built in-house. Since installing the first DIGITAL MASTER 510,<\/a> <\/em>the difference has been clear. Dumke shared an example: \u201cWe ran a job for one million labels with 15 SKUs. It used to take 24 to 25 hours on our flexo press. With the BOBST, it took 10.\u201d<\/p>\n

After only four months of production on the first DIGITAL MASTER 510, the measurable productivity gains, new business opportunities, and improved competitiveness led Repacorp to invest in a second press. \u201cEvery time we quote a job with the BOBST, we\u2019re competitive. That made the decision to move forward with a second machine an easy one,\u201d said Dumke.<\/p>\n

Service and support were also major factors in Repacorp\u2019s decision. \u201cWe had a few challenges early on, but BOBST stood behind the press,\u201d Dumke explained. \u201cThey responded quickly, worked with our team, and weren\u2019t afraid to say when something was on our end. That honesty helped us get better, faster.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Heinl, BOBST\u2019s long history in the industry provided critical peace of mind. \u201cWe\u2019ve dealt with other manufacturers that were acquired or changed direction, and suddenly we couldn\u2019t get parts or service. With BOBST, we know they\u2019ll be here for the long run\u2014and that matters when you\u2019re investing in a press of this size.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Competitive Edge<\/strong><\/p>\n

Repacorp\u2019s digital strategy isn\u2019t about chasing trends\u2014it\u2019s about staying ahead of demand. With two DIGITAL MASTER 510s, the team now has the ability to run complex jobs from raw roll to finished product, including turret rewinding\u2014all in one touch. \u201cWe\u2019ve created a system where we can go straight from the mill to shipping,\u201d said Dumke. \u201cThat\u2019s a huge benefit not just for us, but for our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Repacorp continues to expand its capabilities, the team is already planning to document real-time data and benchmarks to further showcase the performance gains achieved with BOBST technology. \u201cWe\u2019re not just doing digital short runs. We\u2019re doing large-volume, multi-SKU prime labeling\u2014and doing it efficiently,\u201d said Heinl. \u201cThat changes the conversation with customers.\u201d<\/p>\n
