The industry’s leading trade fairs, K, interpack and drupa, are further expanding their international reach by jointly entering the Saudi Arabian market. <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n

This step is made possible by the expanded partnership between Messe D\u00fcsseldorf and the Riyadh Exhibition Company. The Saudi Plastics & Petrochem and Saudi Print & Pack exhibitions will be expanded to include regional editions of K, interpack and drupa.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia is currently showcasing the dynamic and diverse development of the Middle Eastern economy. From May 12 to 15, the\u00a0Riyadh Exhibitions Company\u00a0(REC)<\/a> is hosting the\u00a0Saudi Plastics & Petrochem\u00a0and\u00a0Saudi Print & Pack\u00a0trade shows, featuring over 500 exhibitors from the petrochemical, plastics, print, and packaging industries.<\/p>\n

The flourishing trade fair quartet, whose exhibitor numbers have climbed by 70 percent since 2018, offers plenty of perfect touchpoints for Messe D\u00fcsseldorf. HRH Prince Saud Turki Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of REC, and Wolfram N. Diener, President & CEO of Messe D\u00fcsseldorf, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate D\u00fcsseldorf\u2019s world-leading trade shows\u00a0K,\u00a0interpack\u00a0and\u00a0drupa\u00a0into future Saudi Plastics & Petrochem and Saudi Print & Pack events.<\/p>\n

For decades, K, interpack, and drupa have stood for innovation, international appeal, and strong momentum in their respective sectors. Today, they continue to embody these values as they join forces in Saudi Arabia \u2013 a market with high growth potential \u2013 to harness synergies and create added value.<\/p>\n

Their new presence in Riyadh is a strategic addition to Messe D\u00fcsseldorf\u2019s global portfolio: \u2018K Global Gate\u2019, the \u2018interpack alliance\u2019, and \u2018drupa global\u2019 represent international reach across plastics and rubber, processing and packaging, and print technologies.<\/p>\n

Countless Tie-ins with D\u00fcsseldorf\u2019s Trade Show Portfolio<\/strong><\/p>\n

Strong economic growth in the Middle East<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reflected in the economic data for the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). According to the consulting firm jwc, their annual growth rate of six per cent until 2029 is higher than both the EU (three per cent) and the global average (five per cent).<\/p>\n

Messe D\u00fcsseldorf Drives Momentum in the Gulf Region<\/strong><\/p>\n

REC Chief Operating Officer Dr. Akram Masri welcomes the partnership: \u201cOur trade shows have evolved successfully in recent years. Building on Existing Strength: Previous Steps in the Region<\/strong><\/p>\n

The current new-business activities aren\u2019t Messe D\u00fcsseldorf\u2019s first foray into the region. Since 2007, K has been in a successful partnership with\u00a0ArabPlast\u00a0in Dubai. And with the interpack alliance shows\u00a0pacprocess MEA\u00a0and\u00a0Food Africa Cairo, Messe D\u00fcsseldorf has been advancing its business in Egypt \u2013 the link between the Middle East and Africa \u2013 since 2019.<\/p>\n

In addition, a\u00a0new subsidiary\u00a0joined Messe D\u00fcsseldorf\u2019s global network in 2024 \u2013 in T\u00fcrkiye, the bridge between Europe and the Middle East.
